INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF SCIENTIFIC WORKS

 

 

GENERAL SUBMISSION RULES

 

The submission of scientific papers can be sent as full manuscripts. It will be allowed to submit a maximum of two documents as first author, with a maximum of eight authors per manuscript.
For work submission of Brazilian people, the first author must be regularly enrolled in the event and have his/her payment made and confirmed. The deadline for submissions will be April 30th, 2018. For the accomplishment and confirmation of foreigner registrations it is necessary to send the registration data to the email: events.go@wineventos.com.br. Please, take a look on the document “Registration” to access more information about the registration process.

Abstracts should be linked to the following thematic areas upon submission:

1. Forage crops
2. Nutrition and production of ruminants (does not apply for the Rabbit Congress)
3. Nutrition and production of non-ruminants
4. Genetics, genomics, animal breeding and reproduction
5. Aquaculture and fish farming (does not apply for the Rabbit Congress)
6. Pets and wild animals
7. Animal production systems
8. Technology, industry, products and processes
9. Science of food and products of animal origin
10. Rural education and extension

Abstract submission must be done through the official website of the event (http://www.sbzzootec2018.com.br) and must be sent in pdf format.
The form of presentation of each work - oral or poster - will be defined by the Scientific Committee and the authors will be informed about the results by e-mail, after the manuscript evaluation.

 

 

EVALUATION OF WORKS


The work will be evaluated by at least one evaluator with proven experience and knowledge in the thematic area to which the work is linked.
The opinions of the Scientific Committee will be: Approved or Disapproved. Requests for review of opinions will not be accepted. There is not possibility for correction and resubmission of manuscripts.
The rules of writing and formatting must be strictly followed, failure to observe the rules will result in rejection of the work submitted. The abstracts must be written in the official paper of the event, available as a template on the official website of the event. Entries sent without the template format will be rejected.
It is recommended that the text be spelled and grammatically correct by a competent professional in English. Spelling and grammatical errors may result in work denial.
Authors will be informed of the final result by e-mail.

 

OTHER RULES:


Submission should be made as full text in English language, pdf format, using the obligatorily template available on the official website of the event. The manuscript should contain between three and five pages, Arial font, size 12,   1.5 space between lines. It should be written in the official letterhead template of the event, and afterwards, transformed into pdf format for submission. The full manuscripts should contain only relevant information, with the following topics: Title, Abstract (in portuguese language), Keywords, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions and References. Acknowledgments (optional) should appear at the end of the manuscript. It is necessary to write and abstract in Portuguese language. Title: Title in capital letters, centered, maximum of 20 words, Arial font, size 12 in bold.
Authors: A maximum of eight authors, full name and last name in upper case, names separated by commas, centered, Arial font, size 12.
Authors´ Identification: Identify the presenting author with an asterisk. Indicate the author's e-mail for correspondence and the affiliation of all authors/co-authors.
Abstract: Abstract word followed by two points, beginning on the left margin. Text with a maximum of 200 words, Portuguese language, plain text and justified, Arial font 12, spacing 1.5 between lines. Single paragraph. More specifications inside the template.
Keywords: maximum five words, separated by a comma, in alphabetical order and different from words of the title. Scribe them in lowercase letters, with justified alignment. Should not contain a final point.
Introduction: The title of this topic should be bold and centered. Start the text leaving a 1.0 cm indent from the left margin. Arial font 12, 1.5 spacing between lines. The introduction should present only relevant information related to the work theme, showing the state of the art with updated references, when necessary, and justifying the technical-scientific importance of the study. Must contain at the most one page. Finish the topic presenting the objective (s) of the work.
Material and Methods: The title of this topic should be bold and centered. Start the text leaving 1.0 cm indent from the left margin. Arial font 12, 1.5 spacing between lines. Maximum one page. To present the basic information on materials, experimental methods, statistical design and approval of the ethics committee for animal use. These information needs to allow the analysis and understanding of the strategy used to reach the objectives of the work and that support the main results presented.
Results and discussion: The title of this topic should be bold and centered. Do not leave lines separating the title from the text. Start the text leaving a 1.0 cm indent from the left margin. Arial font 12, 1.5 spacing between lines. Maximum two pages. Inform the main results obtained, based on the statistical analysis of the data. More specifications inside the template.
Conclusions: The title of this topic should be bold and centered. It should not be a repetition of the discussion. Present the conclusion in short sentences, related to the objectives of the work.
Acknowledgments: This topic is optional, should come after the conclusions. The title of this topic should be bold and centered. Thanks to the development agencies, institutions, etc.
Quotations in the text: The norms of the Brazilian Journal of Animal Science should be followed, which can be accessed through the Portal of the Brazilian Society of Animal Science (http://www.revista.sbz.org.br/). In the text the citation of the author should appear in lowwer case followed by the year of publication. Example: One author: Silva (2017) or (Silva, 2017); Two authors: Silva and Queiroz (2002) or (Silva and Queiroz, 2002); multiple authors: Silva et al. (2017) or (Silva et al., 2017).
References: Present in alphabetical order up to six references of the mentioned literature, following the rules of the Brazilian Journal of Animal Science, which can be accessed through the Portal of Brazilian Association of Animal Science (http://www.revista.sbz.org.br/).
